The #3-ranked Clemson women’s tennis team will open competition in the 2005 USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Madison, WI on Thursday. As the second seed in the tournament, Clemson (1-0) will face #14 Kentucky in the first round on Thursday at 3 p.m. CT.

The USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championship is collegiate tennis’ premier indoor team tournament. The tournament began in 1988 and each season this event also offers a preview of the teams to beat in the May NCAA Championships. Wisconsin has served as host school since the event’s inception.
