Tigers Earn #19 Ranking in United Soccer Coaches Poll

Clemson, S.C. –  The Clemson men’s soccer team was voted 19th in the United Soccer Coaches poll, as announced by the United Soccer Coaches organization on Monday afternoon. The ranking is an improvement on the preseason ranking the Tigers received, as the squad received votes in the first edition of the poll. The full poll can be accessed here.

This is the first time the Tigers are in the top-25 since the 2018 preseason poll, which tabbed the Tigers to the 11th spot. The last time the Tigers were ranked during the season was in the final poll of the 2017 season, where the Tigers earned the 17th ranking. The last time the Tigers were ranked 19th in the poll was in the poll released on Oct. 29th of the 2013 season. This is the 9th time the program has received the 19th ranking by the association.

The team will take to the field on Friday, Sept. 6 looking to improve their ranking when they play UNC-Greensboro at 7:30 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field. The men’s program will play immediately following the conclusion of the women’s match against Oregon, which is set for a kick-off time of 5 p.m. Both games will feature the 19th ranked team in the country, as the Clemson women’s team received the same ranking in this week’s edition of the poll.
