Tigers Compete Well on Final Day of ITA Regionals

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. — The Clemson women’s tennis team wrapped up competition at ITA Regional on Saturday with several hard fought matches against strong opponents.

After winning the first set 6-4, Eleni Louka could not quite put away her opponent, Duke’s Elizabeth Coleman. She fell in three sets, 6-4, 3-6, 3-6.

Cristina Mayorova was upended in straight sets by Wake Forest’s Casie Wooten, 6-2, 6-2, while Samantha Buyckx by another Blue Devil in Cameron Morra, 6-1, 6-2.

In the backdraw, Jenna Thompson was defeated by Wake Forest’s Brooke Killingsworth in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.

Clemson will have a few weeks off from competition before returning to the court on November 11-13 for the UNF Invite.
