Duckworth Tournament Final Results
CLEMSON, SC – Members of the Clemson women’s tennis team completed play at the Duckworth Fall Tennis Classic on Sunday. Klara Vyskocilova captured the flight two singles title to highlight play. She won three singles matches in two days. Additionally, she and Nelly Ciolkowski earned a runner-up finish in the flight one doubles.
Vyskocilova defeated Anna Winkelmann of Tennessee-Martin, 6-1, 6-0 on Saturday before taking down Marlen Hacke of Armstrong Atlantic, 6-1, 6-3, earning her a spot in the finals, where she defeated unattached player Beatrice Gumulya, 6-3, 6-4 in the finals.
She and Ciolkowski got by SHkudina and Apostu of Kennesaw State, 9-8(5) in the first round, and Makovc and Dzakovic of Charleston Southern, 9-7. They then fell, 8-5, to Gumulya and Koroleva in the finals, giving them the runner-up finish.
Clemson competes next at the Lakewood Ranch Clay Court Classic in Bradenton, FL.
