Three Tigers Named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Midseason Top 100 Freshmen

CLEMSON, S.C. – After impressing all in their first season on the pitch for the Tigers, newcomer’s Dani Davis, Jenna Tobia and Tatum Short have all been named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Midseason Top 100 Freshmen as announced on Wednesday.

Davis earned the highest ranking as she tabbed No. 4, Tobia followed shortly behind her as she was tabbed No. 7 and Short rounded out the group as she earned the No. 22 ranking.  

Clemson is the only institution to have three athletes represented within the top 25 of the rankings.

Davis has five assists and one goal on the season and has gone the full distance in half of her 14 starts. Tobia currently leads the team in assists as she has tallied eight on the year. The forward is also ranked second amongst the Tigers in points with 16. Short has a total of seven points in her freshman season as she has recorded two goals and three assists for the Tigers. 

The three freshmen have started in all 14 games so far this season and are responsible for seven of the 39 goals on the year and are credited with 16 of the 44 assists for the Tigers. 

The newcomers and the rest of the No. 7 Clemson Tigers are set to take on No. 23 Duke in Durham, N.C. on Friday. Kick-off is slated for 5 p.m. and the match will be streamed on ACCNX.
