Three Tigers Compete at Florida Fast Times Qualifier

Gainesville, FL – Clemson’s men’s track & field team had three competitors in the Florida Fast Times Qualifier on Thursday. Senior hurdler Roy Cheney posted NCAA provisional qualifying marks in the 55m hurdles to highlight the Tigers’ afternoon.

In the 55m dash, both Brown and Padgett advanced to the finals by posting times of 6.30 (Padgett) and 6.35 (Brown). In the final, Padgett improved on his time and won the event at 6.26, while Brown was fourth overall at 6.41 seconds.

In the 55m high hurdles, senior Roy Cheney posted two NCAA provisional qualifying marks on Thursday. In the preliminaries of the event, he qualified for the final by finishing in 7.37 seconds. In the final, he was runner-up to Eric Keddo after running a time of 7.33.

The NCAA Indoor Championships get underway Friday, March 10 from Fayetteville, AR.
