Jordyn Kirr

Position: Assistant AD / Personnel Engagement and Development

Jordy Kirr began her first year as the Assistant AD for Personnel Engagement and Development at Clemson in May 2022. Kirr has spent the last five years in various roles within the athletic department, most recently as the Director of Administrative Projects and Operations and previously as a member of the compliance staff.

Within her new role, Kirr facilitates the assimilation of new staff, leads efforts to engage and develop current staff, and works to implement programming that ensures the growth of departmental culture. Kirr also assists the Associate AD of Administration with fundamental personnel transactions. In addition to her role as Assistant AD, Kirr serves as the secondary sport supervisor for women’s lacrosse, as well as the Clemson NCAA & ACC Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator. Kirr was also a recent Riley Institute Fellow.

Kirr has played a pivotal role in a number of notable projects such as the enactment of the department’s DEI strategic plan, the implementation of a department wide communication platform, Teamworks, and the configuration of the monthly staff newsletter. Additionally, Kirr executed the launch of an athletics-specific professional development program, CUADvance, and facilitated the formation of a women’s staff affinity group within the department, Women2Women.

Kirr obtained her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in 2011 while an athlete on the varsity women’s lacrosse team. A retired Division I lacrosse coach, she earned a Master of Arts in Sports Leadership from Marquette University in 2015 and is currently amidst her pursuit of an MBA at Clemson.

Kirr and her wife, Jackie Simpson Kirr, have two children, a son Jackson and daughter Besser.
