#4 Justin Malou

Malou was selected by the Columbus Crew SC during the 2021 MLS SuperDraft (Jan. 21) with the No. 27 overall pick. Malou has returned to the Tigers for the entirety of the 2021 season.

2020 Season (Senior)

• Started all 11 matches during the fall campaign at center back.
  • Played a complete match across nine of the Tigers’ 11 games.
• During the spring, Malou has started at right-back during six of the Tigers’ matches and at center-back against Louisville (April 9).
• Contributed to each of the seven shutouts throughout the 2020-21 campaign.
• Scored his first goal of the season via a toe-touch finish in the 45th minute against UAB (Oct. 5).
• Captained his side against UAB.
• Made his 50th collegiate start and 60th appearance in the Tigers’ match against Pittsburgh (Nov. 22).

2019 Season (Junior)

• Started in 21 matches, while playing in all 22, during the season.
• Contributed five assists throughout the year.
• Logged seven shots, with two on goal.
• Earned 1,806 minutes of playing time throughout the season.
• Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll in 2019-20.

2018 Season (Sophomore)

• Started 11 of 14 matches played, recording 1,006 minutes in action for the Tigers
• Tallied an assist against Charleston on Oct. 2
• Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll for 2018-19

2017 Season (Freshman)

• Played in 13 matches, starting seven and recording over 680 minutes
• Scored his first career goal on Sept. 4 against Georgia Southern
• Named to the ACC All-Tournament Team
• Named to Clemson’s Honor Roll for maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA during the Spring 2018 semester
