Righthander who served predominantly as a long reliever during his career … in 116.2 innings pitched over 89 appearances (one start) and five seasons, he had a 4-4 record, three saves and a 3.86 ERA while allowing 115 hits (.258 opponents’ batting average) and 39 walks with 99 strikeouts … only allowed four homers … second in Tiger history in appearances and relief appearances (88) … one of the only Tigers in history with six years in the program; received a sixth year because of two years missed due to injury … four-time ACC Academic Honor Roll member.
