CLEMSON, S.C. –Freshman center back, Caitlin Smith, has been named to England’s U19 National Team for European Qualifiers at St. George’s Park from April 9-April 12. The Young Lionesses will compete against Wales, Iceland and Belgium for a spot in a tournament in the Czech Republic between June 27 and July 9.
Smith made an immediate impact for the Tigers in her first season, playing in 17 matches and starting in 14 from the center back position. She recorded her first-ever assist in the season opener against Saint Francis and will continue to be an important piece of the defense in the upcoming season.
