Rowing Competes at Head of the Ohio

Oct. 11, 2000

Pittsburgh, PA – The Clemson rowing team competed at the Head of the Ohio last Saturday, Oct. 7. Clemson’s varsity 8+ “A” finished 11th while Clemson “B” finished 17th of 30 boats. The official times were incomplete due to the unusually heavy waves on the course. The waves caused many boats to lose their bow numbers while 12 boats were swamped during the event.

Head coach Susie Lueck said, “The Tiger rowers had a strong performance considering the weather and the conditions they competed in. These were two solid races by our varsity one and two boats.”

Clemson hosts the Head of Lake Hartwell this Saturday, Oct. 14, at Clemson, S.C.
