Paige Ledford Named ACC Co-Players of the Week in Women’s Soccer

Clemson’s sophomore foward Paige Ledford and NC State’s senior foward Adrienne Barnes were named Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Players of the Week after leading their teams to a 2-0-1 weekend. Ledford guided the Tigers to an upset win over No. 15th ranked Virginia. The Ooltewah, Tenn. native scored the only goal of the game, leading Clemson to a 1-0 win in Charlottesville, Va.

Barnes led the Wolfpack to a 1-0-1 record on the weekend, beating High Point 5-0 and tying No. 7th ranked Wake Forest 1-1 after two overtimes. Against High Point, the Clemmons, N.C. native, scored one goal and added an assist for a total of 3 points on the day. In NC State’s first conference game of the season, Barnes scored the only goal against the Demon Deacons. She helped the Wolfpack tie the undefeated Deacs and become 1-0 in conference play.
