No. 11 Clemson Concludes Preseason at Maryland

CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 11 Clemson men’s soccer team will conclude the 2018 preseason with an exhibition tomorrow at Maryland at 2 p.m. Following the match with the Terps, the Tigers begin the regular season on the road at Creighton on Aug. 24.

Clemson’s first two exhibitions resulted in a 0-0 tie at No. 10 Duke and a 3-0 shutout of UAB at Historic Riggs Field. Robbie Robinson, Patrick Bunk-Andersen and Kimarni Smith have all scored preseason goals thus far, and each of the four of the goalkeepers on Clemson’s roster have seen 45 minutes of action and recorded clean sheets.

In their first two preseason matchups, the Terps defeated VCU 1-0 and NJIT 5-1. However, Maryland is unranked by the United Soccer Coaches, marking the first time since 2001 that the Terps will enter the season outside of the top 25.
