CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s soccer team came up just short against No. 11 Duke on Saturday night at Historic Riggs Field as the Blue Devils scored a late goal to take home a 3-2 win. With the loss, the Tigers dropped to 9-6 overall and 4-3 in the ACC, while the Blue Devils improved to 11-2-2 overall and 5-1-1 in conference play.
HOW IT WAS DECIDEDIn the 77th minute, Duke played the ball up to Lily Nabet, who settled the ball in the far corner. Nabet connected with Talor Racioppi outside the 18, who took a touch and fired a shot from 24 yards out, hitting the bottom right corner to give Duke a 3-2 lead, which it did not relinquish.

UP NEXTClemson closes out the remainder of the 2018 regular season on the road, starting with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Thursday, Oct. 18. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Following Thursday’s match, the Tigers travel to Virginia Tech for a Sunday afternoon match in Blacksburg.
