CLEMSON, SC-Clemson senior forward, Nathan Thornton was named to the ACC Men’s Soccer All-Tournament Team as announced by the league’s office on Sunday.
Thornton scored both goals in Clemson’s 2-0 win over Virginia Tech on November 10, in the first round of the ACC tournament.
He led the 2009 Tigers in scoring with eight goals and two assists for 18 points. He becomes the first Clemson player to be named to the ACC’s All-Tournament team since the 2005 season. He is also the only player in 2009 to be honored from a team that did not make it to the quarterfinal round.
