Men’s Soccer Ranked Second in the Nation

Sept. 10, 2002

The Clemson men’s soccer team is ranked second in all of the major soccer polls released Tuesday. Clemson is ranked second by the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) and Soccer America. The Tigers are tied for second with UCLA in the Soccertimes.com poll. Clemson is 2-0-1 this season and defeated UNC-Greensboro last Sunday afternoon in the Tigers’ last action. The Tigers will play at Duke in the first ACC match of the season Saturday night at 7:00 pm in Durham, NC. The second place ranking is the highest the Tigers have been since the November 16, 1998 polls when Clemson was ranked number one.
