Men’s Soccer Ranked in the Top 10

The Clemson men’s soccer team is ranked in the top 20 in three soccer polls released Tuesday. Clemson is ranked fourth by Soccer America and eighth by the NSCAA. The Tigers are ranked fifth by Soccertimes.com. Clemson is 9-1-1 on the year. The Tigers are 2-1 in the ACC this season. Clemson has won seven matches in a row.

Dimelon Westfield is Clemson’s leading scorer with 30 points. He has 14 goals and two assists this season. Fabio Tambosi has nine assists to lead the team. Westfield has scored 12 goals in the last seven matches. He has also scored in seven straight matches.

The men’s soccer match between Clemson and Furman scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, has been postponed due to the tragic events involving the Furman players. Clemson will play at Wake Forest on Saturday October 19, in the Tigers’ next action. This will be the 25th meeting between Clemson and Wake Forest on the soccer field. Clemson leads the overall series 15-8-1 overall. Clemson is 4-0-1 in the last five meetings with Wake Forest.
