Men’s Soccer Claims 23rd Annual Clemson/Adidas Invitational

CLEMSON, SC —The Clemson men’s soccer team defeated the New Hampshire Wildcats 3-0 Sunday and claimed the team title in the 23rd annual Clemson/Adidas Invitational .

The win was the Tigers’ fourth straight as they improve to 9-1 on the year. The lose drops the Wildcats to 4-5-1 overall

Mark Lisi scored an unassisted goal 2:55 into the match to start things off for the Tigers. Bob Cavanaugh folowed up the score with a goal of his own almost 17 minutes later. Cavanuagh took a pass from Scott Bower and put the shot past New Hampshire goalie Ethan Holmes at the 19:47 mark.

Wojtek Krakowiak scored Clemson’s third goal at the 56:29 mark. John Wilson and Lisi were credited with assists. The goal was the 12th this season for Krakowiak, who scored his second hat trick of the season last Firday night, October 2, agianst Cal-Poly S.L.O..
