CLEMSON, S.C. – Wojtek Krakowiak scored three goals while teammates Scott Bower and Mark Lisi both added two assists each in leading fourth-ranked Clemson to a 7-1 win over Cal Poly SLO in the second game of the 23rd Annual Clemson/Adidas Men’s Soccer Invitational at Clemson, SC Friday night.
With the win, Clemson improves to 8-1 overall, while Cal Poly-SLO falls to 5-2-1 this season. Clemson is ranked fourth in the Soccer America poll and eighth in the NSCAA listing.
This is the second hat trick (three goals or more in a single game) by Krakowiak this season. He also had three goals in Clemson’s 5-0 win over North Carolina on September 13. Krakowiak now has 11 goals this season. Bower has seven assists this year.
Furman will play Cal-Poly SLO at 12:00 p.m., while Clemson will face New Hampshire at 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the final two matches of the Clemson/Adidas Men’s Soccer Invitational.
