CLEMSON, S.C. – Sophomore defender Megan Bornkamp has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, the CoSIDA office announced on Thursday afternoon. She is only the second player in program history to be named both First Team All-ACC and to the CoSIDA Academic Team and the first since Paige Ledford did so in 2004.
Bornkamp is majoring in management and holds an incredible 3.92 GPA. She has played and started in all 19 matches this season and leads the team in goals and points with 10 and 30, respectively. She also is second on the team with 10 assists. Bornkamp was given the First Team All-ACC nod for the first time in her career after earning Third Team All-ACC in her freshman campaign last season.
Bornkamp and the Tigers will take on Alabama at Historic Riggs Field Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Tickets are available here.
