CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson gymnastics returns to action on Sunday afternoon, traveling to Texas for the first quad meet in program history. The Tigers are set to take on No. 1 Oklahoma, Texas Women’s and Penn at TWU beginning at 3:00 pm ET.
Clemson is coming off its final ACC meet of the season, scoring its first 197 in program history. The Tigers defeated North Carolina 197.350 – 195.500. The Tigers scored season-highs on three events, including a the first 49 of the season on beam.
Sierra Church was awarded the ACC Newcomer of the Week after her first beam event win of the season with a 9.925 in the anchor position. Lauren Rutherford was named the ACC Specialist of the Week after posting her second 9.925 on vault this season to tie a career-high and to take the event win.
The Tigers will start Sunday’s meet on beam and will rotate to floor, vault and bars, in that order.
