CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson women’s soccer junior defender Julie Mackin was named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team for NCAA Division I District 4, which includes players from colleges in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Puerto Rico.
Mackin has a career 4.00 GPA as a nursing major while continuing to be a staple of Clemson’s back line since she arrived her freshman year. She has played in all games during her three-year career and started all but two of those, totaling almost 4,250 minutes in 63 appearances with three different NCAA Tournament teams. This year, she netted the lone goal in the Tigers’ 2-1 loss at Wake Forest.
