Lady Tigers to Travel to Nationally Ranked Georgetown on Thursday

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson Lady Tigers (6-7) will open post-holiday play when they travel to No. 18 coaches/19 AP Georgetown (11-3) on Thursday, Dec. 30 at 7:00 pm in Washington, DC.

Clemson will play away from home for the third straight game, and the fifth in six games overall. It is also the third straight game that Clemson will take on a ranked opponent, as the Tigers met #2 Baylor and #23 Syracuse last week in the Bahamas Sunshine Shootout.

This will be the fourth all-time meeting between the Tigers and Hoyas, all of which have come since 2005. Georgetown owns a 2-1 series lead, including a 1-0 mark at home. They also won in Littlejohn last season by a 72-57 margin.

It will be Clemson’s final game of the 2010 Calendar year, and they will return to action at home on Jan. 3 against North Carolina A&T at 7:00 pm. Clemson’s ACC opener will be on Jan. 6 at NC State.
