Lady Tigers To Play Host To Dayton In Game One Of Clemson Basketball Double Header On Tuesday

CLEMSON, SC – Reigning ACC Rookie of the Week Lele Hardy and the Clemson women’s basketball team will welcome Dayton to Littlejohn Coliseum on Tuesday evening. The Lady Tigers and Flyers are set to begin play at 5:00 pm at Littlejohn Coliseum as game one of a Clemson basketball double header. The Lady Tigers have won their last two games to bring its season record to 5-6 overall, while Dayton has dropped its last three for a 4-6 ledger.

With a 10.8 scoring average, Hardy is one of three Clemson players averaging in double figures this season. Junior D’Lesha Lloyd boasts a team-best 12.4 figure, while Tasha Taylor is a close second with a 12.2 points per game average. Hardy leads the team on the boards with a 7.9 rebounds per game average, that ranks ninth in the ACC, and red-shirt freshman Christy Brown is listed third in the conference with a 5.45 assists per game mark.

Scouting the Flyers Dayton brings a 4-6 record into Littlejohn Coliseum on Tuesday night, following a 14-day break for the Flyers. Clemson will be the second team from South Carolina that Dayton has faced this season, as the Flyers defeated Winthrop at the Cardinal Classic in Louisville, KY on Nov. 12.

Jennifer Armstrong leads the Dayton squad with a 13.3 points per game average, while also pulling down 4.9 rebounds per game. Brittany Holterman also averages in double figures for the Flyers with an 11.1 figure.

As a team, Dayton is posting 64.0 points per game with 36.6 rebounds per game. The Flyers have drained 51 three-point field goals this season while shooting a .395 overall figure from the field.

Clemson vs. Dayton, The Series Tuesday’s contest featuring the Lady Tigers and Flyers will be the first meeting in history between the two schools.
