IPTAY Day: Saturday, October 3

This Saturday, October 3, is “IPTAY Day” as we welcome Notre Dame to Death Valley. It is sure to be an exciting matchup as both teams enter the game undefeated.  IPTAY Day is an annual home football game designation that provides a platform to further educate members of the Clemson Family on IPTAY and its mission of supporting Clemson student-athletes.

On IPTAY Day we celebrate IPTAY and its more than eighty year history with Clemson University and Clemson Athletics. Since 1934 IPTAY has been the standard in athletic fundraising and that has been possible because of the thousands of people who have invested in Clemson University athletics. For that, we take Saturday as an opportunity to say thank you to our nearly 15,000 donors who donated to IPTAY in 2015. Continued support allows our Clemson student-athletes to succeed at the highest level both in the classroom and in athletic competition. The generosity of donors enables IPTAY to provide scholarships, academic support through Vickery Hall and new and upgraded facilities to the nearly 500 student-athletes who proudly wear the PAW.

“We are excited to celebrate IPTAY Day this Saturday. It has been a landmark year for our organization and it is important that we thank those who make all that we do possible. With ESPN’s College GameDay on campus, the IPTAY logo being placed on Frank Howard Field and the thousands who will travel to Clemson provides us with an amazing opportunity to continue to grow IPTAY into the future.” – Davis Babb, IPTAY CEO

As we build up to IPTAY Day and the big football game vs. Notre Dame this weekend, we will be highlighting various facets of IPTAY! From current programs to the history books, educating all Clemson Tigers on IPTAY is important. Be sure to visit clemsontigers.com/iptay to catch all of this week’s IPTAY Day releases.
