Four Tigers in Top 10 of Monroe Amateur

Pittsford, NY-Brent Delahoussaye, who will be a junior on the Clemson golf team this coming season, fired a tournament best 65 in the third round of the Monroe Amateur and stands in second place entering Saturday’s final round. The event is being played at Monroe Country Club in Pittsford, NY.

Delahoussaye, who red-shirted during Clemson’s 2003 National Championship season, has had rounds of 67-73-65 for a 205 total. He stands in second place, just one strokes behind Peter Tomasulo of California, who stands at 204. Delahoussaye’s round was the best turned in over the 60-player field on Friday.

Matt Hendrix, who won the Sunnehanna Amateur in Pennsylvania last week, stands in fourth place with a 208 total after shooting a 70 on Friday. Jack Ferguson and Gregg Jones, two more returning starters from Clemson’s 2003 championship team, stand in a tie for 10th place at 210. Ferguson had his second straight 68 on Friday, while Jones had a 71. Martin Catalioto, who will be a sophomore on the 2003-04 Clemson team, had a 72 on Friday and has a 217 score entering the final round. He stands in 40th place.
