Former Tiger Wins Oklahoma Open

Clemson, SC-Former Clemson All-American Lucas Glover won his first professional tournament over the weekend, the Oklahoma Open in Edmond, OK. Glover shot a nine-under par 201 on the par 70 course. He won the event by two shots. His former Clemson teammate, John Engler, was seven shots off the pace.

Glover had rounds of 66-65-70 in recording the victory. Engler had the lead after the first round with a course-record tying 62. He finished with rounds of 70 and 76.

Glover will next be in action this weekend at the Texas Open in San Antonio. The native of Greenville, has been given a sponsor’s exemption for the PGA Tour event. He will be one of five former Tigers in the field. Richard Coughlan, Kevin Johnson, Jeff Julian and Danny Ellis are the other former Tigers in the field this weekend.
