Five Clemson Players Honored by Soccerbuzz.com

CLEMSON, SC–Five players have been named to the soccerbuzz.com Southeast All-Region teams as announced by the web site Tuesday.

Goalkeeper Ashley Phillips was named to the first team and Midfielders Julie Bolt and Elizabeth Jobe were both named to the second team.

Molly Franklin and Katie Vogel were both named to the Southeast All-Freshman team.

Phillips finished the season with a 0.97 goals allowed average and had 119 saves. She also had nine solo shutouts and shared with two other shutouts on the season. Phillips for her career has 238 saves and is currently second on the school’s career list for most saves.

Bolt had five goals and five assists this season for 15 points. Jobe had three goals for six points this year.

Franklin led the team in scoring with six goals and four assists for 16 points. Vogel had three goals and three assists for nine points. This season, the Lady Tigers finished the year with a 11-8-5 record overall and advanced to the NCAA Tournament’s final eight. Clemson had a 5-2-4 record in its last 11 games of the season.
