Eight Former Tigers in PGA Tour Events this Weekend

Eight former Clemson golfers will compete in the two PGA Tour events scheduled this weekend. Lucas Glover, Danny Ellis, D.J. Trahan and John Engler will compete in the PGA Tour’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans, while Brent Delahoussaye, Matt Hendrix, Kevin Johnson and Elliot Gealy will be in the field at the Nationwide Tour’s BMW Charity Pro Am at the Cliffs in nearby Greenville, SC.

Glover is currently the highest ranked former Tiger on the PGA Tour in terms of his #22 ranking on the latest money list. He was an All-American at Clemson twice over his four year career (1997-01). D.J. Trahan the national player of the year at Clemson in 2002, and leader of Clemson’s 2003 National Championship team, will also take part. Ellis was the ACC Golf Champion in 1992 as a junior and was a three-time All-American between 1989-93.

Brent Delahoussaye, a senior and All-ACC player on Clemson’s 2005 team, and Elliot Gealy, a member of four top 20 teams at Clemson between 1995-99, also will compete.
