Cynthia Clausen Named ITA Scholar-Athlete All-American

CLEMSON, SC – Lady Tiger tennis player Cynthia Clausen was named a 2000 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete All-American by the ITA National Awards Committee.

To be eligible for consideration as a potential ITA Scholar-Athlete Award recipient, the individual must be a junior or senior in school, be a varsity letterwinner, and have a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale. Clausen, a rising senior from Freedom, NH, posted an 8-10 overall singles record and a 3-3 mark in dual match play. She is a psychology major at Clemson.

The Lady Tiger women’s tennis team posted a 15-7 record last and completed the year ranked in the top 30 after advancing to the NCAA Tournament. Clemson opens its 2000-2001 campaign September 16 at the ITA National Clay Court Championships in Baltimore, MD.
