CLEMSON, SC — Mkhokheli Dube scored one goal and had one assist in leading Coastal Carolina to a 2-1 win over Clemson in a men’s intercollegiate soccer match at Clemson, SC Wednesday night.
With the win, Coastal Carolina improves to 7-7-1 overall, while Clemson falls to 6-10-1 this season. Coastal Carolina scored first in the 11th minute of play. Dube scored his ninth goal of the season with assists by Kevin Van Den Berg and Ross Kelly.
Clemson tied the score late in the first half in the 40th minute of play. Tate Parrish scored his sixth goal of the season with an assist by Bryson Moore.
Djamel Bekka scored the game winner and his fifth goal of the season at the 60:29 mark. He was assisted on the play by Dube and Van Den Berg.
Clemson will play host to sixth-ranked Boston College at Historic Riggs Field on Sunday, November 4, in the Tigers’ last regular season match. Match time is set for 1:00 p.m.
