Clemson’s Salge Falls In Second-Round Action At ITA National Indoor Championships

COLUMBUS, OH – Clemson women’s tennis player Carol Salge advanced to the round of 16 before falling at the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, held at The Raquet Club of Columbus and hosted by The Ohio State University. Slage defeated Colleen Rielley of Notre Dame in the opening round on Thursday (3-6, 7-5, 6-4) and then suffered a 6-3, 6-1 loss to Florida’s Diana Srevrovic, the seventh-seeded player in the tournament. Salge now boasts a 6-3 record for the fall season.

The Tiger team will return to competition next weekend, as it will participate in the Miami Invitational in Coral Gables, FL.

News
