GREENSBORO, NC – Clemson senior David May and N.C. State sophomore Matt Hill have been named Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Co-Golfers of the Month for April.

Clemson’s David May, from Auburn, N.Y. was co-medalist honoree at the ACC Championship with NC State’s Hill and became the first Tiger player to win that tournament since John Engler in 2001. May also placed 11th individually at the US Collegiate Tournament played in Alpharetta, Ga., and helped guide his team to a first place finish in the event which featured the top 11 teams in the nation.

Hill, a native of Bright’s Grove, Ontario, won both tournaments in which he played this month. Hill placed first at The River Landing Intercollegiate in Wallace, N.C. and tied for first-place medalist honors with Clemson’s May at the ACC Championship in New London, N.C. Hill has five tournament wins this school year, tying three other golfers for the ACC record for most wins in a season. He became only the sixth golfer in NC State history to win medalist honors at the ACC Championship and the first since 1995. This is Hill’s second consecutive Player of the Month honor, as he was also named in March.
