Clemson’s Eric Bruck and Meg Anderson Earn Weekly ACC Honors

GREENSBORO, NC – Clemson junior Eric Bruck has been named the ACC Swimming & Diving Men’s Performer of the Week, announced by the conference on Tuesday. Clemson junior Meg Andersonwas named the ACC Women’s Performer of the Week.

Bruck won every event he swam – four individual races and two relays – against NC State and at Duke last week. Against the Wolfpack, the junior posted the second best 100 free time in the ACC this season and 25th best in the country. One day later against the Blue Devils, the Louisville, Ky., native tied for second in the nation in the 50 free with a mark of 19.47 seconds. Over the course of the two days, he set four different pool records and had four NCAA B qualifying times.

Anderson set four pool records in the two weekend meets. On Friday against NC State, she finished with two NCAA B times, swam the fourth-fastest time in the ACC in the 50 free (22.83 seconds), and posted the seventh-fastest time in the conference in the 100 free (49.88 seconds). The next day against Duke and Richmond, the Tampa, Fla., native won two more races and swam on the victorious 200 free relay.
