Clemson’s Bob Pollock Named ACC Outdoor Track And Field Coach Of The Year

GREENSBORO, NC – Clemson men’s track and field head coach Bob Pollock was named the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year as selected by the league’s nine head coaches. This is Pollock’s eighth ACC Outdoor Coach of the Year accolade. He previously garnered the award in 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1997 and 1998.

Pollock has led the Tigers to nine ACC Outdoor Championships, including five in the last eight years. This season, Clemson accumulated an ACC Outdoor Championship record point total with 224 points, surpassing the previous mark of 216 set in 1997 by the Tigers. Clemson captured five event titles (100m, 400m hurdles, 4x100m relay, long jump, decathlon), and 16 Tigers earned 19 All-ACC merits. The Tigers scored in every event in which they were entered. Overall, Pollock has been named ACC Coach of the Year on 18 occassions (eight outdoor, nine indoor, one cross country).
