CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s tennis team travels to Mobile, AL, to play the University of South Alabama this Sunday, Feb. 2. The match is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Clemson, ranked 31st in the latest ITA poll, enters the match with a 1-0 record, after defeating the College of Charleston 6-1 in the Tigers’ season-opener. The University of South Alabama is 1-1 on the season, defeating Troy State (6-0) and falling to #2 Florida (7-0). The #27 Jaguars will play host to two ACC teams this weekend, as South Alabama faces Georgia Tech on Saturday.
The Tigers hold a 3-3 all-time record in matches with the Jaguars. Clemson and South Alabama most recently met on the court in 2001, a match that then-#14 South Alabama won by a score of 4-3 over the 27th-ranked Tigers.
