Clemson, S.C. – The Clemson women’s tennis team will play host to the Georgia State University Lady Panthers on Friday at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. The Tigers will travel to Columbia to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Friday and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Clemson is 1-1 on the young season with a win over College of Charleston and a close 4-3 loss to Middle Tennessee State. Entering this weekend’s matches, Georgia State is 0-1 on the season, with a loss to Georgia Tech. The 22nd-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks have a 3-0 record entering Saturday’s match. Clemson has a 4-0 all-time record against Georgia State, including a 6-1 victory over the Lady Panthers last season. South Carolina holds a 20-15 all-time edge over the Tigers. Clemson lost a 6-1 decision to the then 18th-ranked Gamecocks last season.
