Clemson Women’s Tennis To Open ACC Season

CLEMSON, S.C. – The 53rd-ranked Clemson women’s tennis team (5-5) will travel to Winston-Salem, NC, to take on No. 19 Wake Forest (4-4) at the Leighton Tennis Stadium on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm. The Tigers will face N.C. State (2-3) on Sunday in Raleigh, NC at 12:30 pm.

Clemson and Wake Forest first met on the court in 1978. The Tigers lead the series 15-13, however, Wake Forest has won the last ten matches. Last season, Clemson lost a 8-1 decision to the Demon Deacons who were ranked second in the nation at the time.

The Tigers and the Wolfpack have met on the court 30 times since 1979. Clemson holds a 27-3 all-time record against N.C. State. In 2000, the Tigers defeated N.C. State by a score of 8-1.
