Clemson Women’s Tennis To Compete In South Alabama Tournament

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s tennis team will compete in the University of South Alabama’s fall tournament this weekend in Mobile, AL. The Tigers will face opponents from Tulane, New Orleans, Southern Mississippi, McNeese State, Louisiana-Monroe, Auburn-Montgomery, Northwestern State and host South Alabama. Play is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, and conclude on Sunday, Oct. 14.

Clemson returns seven letter winners and four starters from last year’s squad. The Tigers signed two freshmen, Alix Lacelarie (Villeneuve-Les-Beziers, France) and Richele LeSaldo (Barbados, St. Thomas), and welcomed back sophomores Ashlea Bowen (Lawrenceville, GA) and Anna Dolinska (Warsaw, Poland). Juniors Sunnie Harmon (Greenwood, SC), Laurence Jayet (Le Cannet, France) and Ana Stiglic (Kensington, South Africa), and seniors Anna Savitskaya (St. Petersburg, Russia) and Milena Stanoycheva (Sofia, Bulgaria) round out the 2001-02 roster.
