The Clemson women’s tennis team continues play in their fall schedule as five Tigers head to the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships at the Riviera Clemson in Pacific Palisades, CA. Four Tigers will participate in the even, beginning with the prequalification rounds on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Sophomores Klara Vyskocilova and Klara Vyskocilova will be the first to represent the Tigers, as they play in the prequalification rounds on Saturday.

Vyskocilova, the 98th-ranked player in the nation is the No. 5 seed in the draw, and plays Stefanie Weinstein of Nebraska on Saturday at 1:15 pm PT. Kochanova, rated as the 10th-best newcomer nationally, will play Misia Krawoski of Brown at 3:00 pm PT.

Should either or both advance, they will play at 12:00 pm PT on Sunday.

The two will then team up in doubles to play Fleming and Ray of UCLA at 9:00 am PT Sunday at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.

Thos two will be trying to gain entry into the qualifying draw, to which senior Keri Wong has earned an automatic bid. Wong is ranked 32nd nationally, and will likely play a qualifier early on.

Senior Josipa Bek, ranked 8th nationally, earned a spot in the Main Draw, out of which a Champion is determined for the event.

Bek and Wong are also in the main draw of doubles, as the Tiger duo is ranked No. 1 nationally. Last season, Bek and Wong finished as runner up of the Main Draw, the first of three finals appearances for the tandem.
