Clemson Women’s Tennis Finishes Day One at Furman Fall Invite

GREENVILLE, SC – The Clemson Women’s Tennis team opened their season at the prestigious Furman Fall Classic, which features seven ranked teams from a season ago and 22 of the top 125 players in the nation.

The 9th-ranked player in the nation, Ina Hadziselimovic to win their first doubles match against Newman and Steinbauer, 8-6.

Sophomore Caroline Magnusson to record a doubles victory over Stojic and Andersson from South Carolina at flight two doubles.

Hadziselimovic, the 99th-ranked player nationally dropped her first singles match to Francesca Segareli of Florida state, 2-6, 5-6, before defeating Jessica Preeg of Furman in the afternoon. She will play for fifth place in flight three on Saturday.

Freshman Nelly Ciolkowski won her collegiate debut at flight six, defeating Zoe De Bruycker of UNC 6-3, 6-3.
