Clemson Women’s Tennis Completes Play at Furman Fall Classic

GREENVILLE, SC – The Clemson women’s tennis team closed action at the Furman Fall Classic on Sunday by playing three doubles matches in the placing rounds. The Tigers won two of the three matchups on the day.

Maria Belaya and Caroline Magnusson won their final two matches together after dropping the opener, and took fifth place in flight 3. Laurianne Henry won their seventh place match, 8-3 over a duo from Furman.

At flight one, Josipa Bek and Keri Wong fell to Featherston and McHale from North Carolina in the third-place match.

In singles action, Josipa Bek won the flight one championship, while Keri Wong took fifth in the flight. Nelly Ciolkowski placed fourth at flight two, Henry was seventh at flight three, Vyskocilova was third at flight four, Belaya was fourth at flight five, and Magnusson was second at flight six.

Bek, Wong, and Ciolkowski will play at the Riviera ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, CA from Oct. 2-10.
