Clemson Women’s Soccer to Play Host to #22 Florida State

Clemson, SC — The Clemson women’s soccer team will play host to ACC foe 22nd ranked Florida State on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field.

The Lady Tigers are earned a scoreless tie against Furman early last week before suffering a 2-1 ACC road loss to Maryland on Friday night.. Clemson is led by freshman Courtney Foster with six goals and three assists for 15 total points. The Clemson defense is led by goalkeeper Lauren Whitt with a 0.31 goals against average and seven shutouts.

FLorida State enters the match with an 8-5 record (2-1 ACC). The Seminoles shutout conference foe Duke 3-0 last week. Florida State is led in scoring by Leah Gallegos with ten goals and one assist for 21 total points. The Seminole defense is led by goalkeeper Joy McKenzie with a 1.13 goals against average and two shutouts. McKenzie has only allowed one goal to a conference opponent.
