Clemson Women’s Soccer Team to Play Host to N.C. State Thursday at 6:00 PM

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s soccer team will play host to N.C. State on Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Riggs Field. The contest between the Tigers and Wolfpack was originally scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m., but has been moved up one hour and will now begin at 6:00 p.m.

Clemson is 4-5-1 overall and 0-2-1 in Atlantic Coast Conference play after falling to #10 Virginia 7-1 and playing to a 2-2 tie against Virginia Tech last week. The Tigers are led in scoring by Julie Bolt with nine goals for 18 points on the season. The senior forward currently ranks first in the ACC in goals per game with a 1.00 average. Freshmen Tara Cort and Paula Pritzen has recorded 42 saves in 855 minutes in goal for Clemson.

N.C. State has an 8-5 overall record and a 0-3 mark in conference play. Most recently, the Wolfpack fell to Virginia Tech (3-0) and Virginia (6-0). Lindsay Vera leads the Wolfpack in scoring with eight goals and five assists for 21 points. Keeper Kim Kern has tallied 42 saves in goal for N.C. State in 712 minutes of play.

Clemson has a 12-2-4 record in the series against N.C. State, which dates back to the 1994 season. In 2007, the Tigers and Wolfpack played to a 2-2 double-overtime tie in Raleigh.
