Clemson Women’s Soccer Team to Play Final Home Game Sunday

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s soccer team will play host to eighth-ranked Boston College on Sunday afternoon in its final regular season game of the 2009 campaign. The game between the Tigers and the Eagles will begin at 1:00 PM at Historic Riggs Field and will be broadcast live on Lily Boleyn, Jennifer Ficklen, Molly Franklin, Lindsey Jackson and Katie Vogel.

The Tigers are 3-13 overall (0-8 ACC), most recently falling to #13 Maryland by a score of 3-0 on Thursday, October 22 at Historic Riggs Field. Freshman forward Paula Pritzen has played over 1,424 minutes in goal and has recorded 68 saves on the season for the Tigers.

Boston College has a 12-2-1 overall record and a 4-2-1 record in ACC play. The Eagles defeated Virginia Tech by a score of 1-0 in Blacksburg, VA in their most recent action on Sunday, October 18. Sisters Victoria and Gina DiMartino lead Boston College in scoring with 25 and 20 points, respectively. Sophomore Jillian Mastroianni has 35 saves in over 1,364 minutes in goal for the Eagles.

The Tigers have a 1-3-1 record in the series against Boston College, which dates back to the 2005 season. In 2008, the then-13th-ranked Eagles defeated Clemson by a score of 1-0 in Chestnut Hill, MA.
