Clemson Women’s Soccer Team to Face Virginia Sunday

CLEMSON, SC–The Clemson women’s soccer team will play host to 12th-ranked Virginia on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field.

Clemson has a 6-5-1 record overall this season and a 1-2-1 mark in the ACC. The Lady Tigers and Virginia Tech tied 0-0 last Thursday night. Clemson is led in scoring by Nuria Zufia with four goals and two assists for 10 points.

Virginia is ranked 12th nationally by Soccer America. The Cavaliers have a 7-4-2 record overall, and a 2-1-1 mark in the ACC.

The Cavaliers are led in scoring by Jess Rostedt with five goals and two assist for 12 points.

This will be the 17th meeting between Clemson and Virginia on the soccer field. Clemson leads the overall series 10-6. The Lady Tigers lead the series in matches played at Clemson 4-1.
