Clemson Women’s Soccer Team Ranked 20th by the NSCAA

Clemson, SC – The Clemson women’s soccer team is ranked 20th according to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll released on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Tigers were ranked 19th in the NSCAA preseason poll and opened the regular season with a 4-0 victory over Liberty last Friday evening at Riggs Field.

There are six Atlantic Coast Conference teams in the top 25 and four in the top 11 of the national rankings. The Lady Tigers are ranked fifth in the Southeast Region according to the NSCAA poll.

In the Soccer Buzz poll also released on Tuesday, the Lady Tigers are ranked 27th overall, moving up one position from their 28th-place spot in the preseason rankings. Clemson is also fifth in the Soccer Buzz Southeast Region poll.

Head Coach Todd Bramble’s team has three home matches this week, beginning with a 7:00 p.m. contest against Coastal Carolina on Wednesday night. The team will also play host to Long Beach State on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and Western Carolina on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Riggs Field. Long Beach State is ranked 23rd by Soccer Buzz and received votes in the NSCAA’s top 25 poll.
