Clemson Women’s Soccer Honors

CLEMSON, SC – Four Clemson Women’s Soccer Players were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Southeast Region Team as announced by the NSCAA Thursday. Head Coach Ray Leone was also named Southeast Region Coach-of-the-Year.

Nancy Augustyniak, Deliah Arrington, and Lindsay Browne were named to the first team, while Julie Augustyniak was named to the second team. These players are now qualified to be named All-Americans by the NSCAA later this month.

Clemson advanced to the NCAA Tournament’s Final Eight this season and had a 19-3-1 record in the 2000 season. The Lady Tigers were the ACC Regular Season Champions.

Defender, Nancy Augustyniak (senior) was named First-Team All ACC this season. She scored two goals and had one assist. Nancy Augustyniak is also a National Player-of-the-Year candidate.

Deliah Arrington (sophomore) was second on the team in points with 34, as she had 12 goals and 10 assists. She was named first-team All-ACC as well.

Lindsay Browne (freshman) led the Lady Tigers in scoring with 13 goals and 12 assists for 38 points She started all 23 matches this season. Browne was named first-team All-ACC and was named ACC Rookie of the Year. Browne is also a National Freshman-of-the-Year Candidate.

Defender, Julie Augustyniak (senior) started all 23 matches this season. She finished the year with five assists.

Clemson Head Coach Ray Leone was also named the Southeast Region Coach-of-the-Year. Last month he was named the ACC Coach-of-the-Year. Leone is also a finalist for National Coach-of-the-Year Honors.
