Clemson Women’s Rowing Finishes Final Day of NCAA Championships

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Clemson women’s rowing team completed the final day of the NCAA Championships on Sunday with a 15th place team finish. The Tigers are one of only 13 schools nationally to finish in the Final 16 of the NCAA Rowing Championships in each of the last three years.

“I am incredibly proud of our team,” said Clemson head coach Robbie Tenenbaum. “We raced three great races today and everyone finished the season on a great note.”

After competitions on Friday, the three Tiger crews advanced on to today’s Third Level final. In the Varsity 4 third final, the Tigers finished third with a time of 7:34.71, which gave them a 15th place overall finish. The 2nd Varsity 8 finished second in their third final with a time of 6:34.91, just .46 seconds behind Dartmouth. The 2V8 crew also finished 15th overall. In the 1st Varsity 8 third final, the Tigers finished third with a time of 6:38.47, giving them a 15th-place overall finish.
