Clemson Travels to Winston-Salem for ITA Regionals

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson women’s tennis team will hit the road to compete at the ITA Regionals in Winston-Salem, N.C. starting on Thursday, Oct. 21. The Tigers belong to the Carolina region, which Head Coach Christy Lynch describes as “one of the strongest in the country.”

Cristina Mayorova, Daniella Medvedeva, Eleni Louka and Ali DeSpain will participate in the Main Draw. Jenna Thompson, Samantha Buyckx, Sophia Hatton, Makayla Mills and Lana Sipek are in the Qualifying group, while Alexandra Anttila will look to impress in the B Draw.

Qualifying will begin Thursday morning with two rounds of singles, and doubles for the entire tournament will kick off on Thursday at 5 p.m. The Main Draw kicks off with two rounds of singles on Friday morning and another round of doubles to follow.

Lynch calls the weekend a “great opportunity for our team.” Following ITA Regionals, Clemson will participate in the UNF Invitational from Nov. 12-14, which marks the team’s last tournament before the regular season begins in January.
